Welcome to Riverview Manor
Riverview Manor is a licensed and accredited long-term care residence in Peterborough, in the heart of the picturesque Kawarthas. We are easily accessible by public transit and offer convenient on-site parking facilities. We are located within minutes of a large regional hospital and emergency services.

Our dedicated staff provides compassionate, supportive and professional care and services to 124 residents with varying interests. Our Behaviour Management Specialist offers leadership and support to staff and families concerning the individualized care of residents with Alzheimer's disease or dementia.

Our commitment to education provides our staff with the knowledge to ensure each resident receives care that respects their individuality and preference. It's part of our Pursuit of Excellence mission.

Our modern, single-level home is designed for residents' comfort.  Bedrooms — private and shared — are spacious, attractively decorated and feature en-suite bathrooms. Corridors are wide and accommodating. Visitors are welcome to join residents for a visit on our patio, where flowers and herbs are evidence of our horticultural program, or enjoy our comfortable lounge and spacious dining room.

Riverview Manor enjoys strong community support. Based on our belief that residents continue to be valued citizens, we encourage them to take part in the life of Peterborough and invite local townspeople to become involved in our home. Children, local entertainers and clergy visit us regularly.  Volunteers add much to the good times we have at our summer barbecues, birthday parties, pub nights, holiday dinners and celebrations.

We are committed to continually strive to exceed the expectations of individuals and communities we are privileged to serve. Our commitment to every resident and to those significant in their lives is to respect and value every individual and provide an environment which facilitates a purposeful and peaceful lifestyle and supports the quality of life residents are entitled to enjoy.

Our residents are valued members of Riverview Manor's management team. Our Residents Council provides the opportunity for residents and their family members to participate in planning and evaluating the services in our home and supports a strong line of communication between residents and administration.

Visit Riverview Manor
Riverview Manor is currently welcoming new residents and has private, semi-private and basic rooms available. Visitors are welcome to drop by and tour the home. An appointment is not necessary.

Extraordinary kindness
When we looked for a home for dad to live in three years ago, we decided on Riverview as the best we could find. How well you all lived up to our desire to have Lloyd in a loving place.  Especially at his death did we feel an EXTRAORDINARY amount of kindness and comfort for us and amazing love for our dad. You couldn't have helped us more. Your special kindnesses and thoughtfulnesses will always be cherished.
