Welcome
to
Frost Manor Frost Manor is a licensed
and accredited long-term care residence. This 62 bed
home with 34 wards, 20 semi private and 8 private rooms
is located on a treed residential street in the heart
of Lindsay. We are easily accessible by public transit
and offer on-site parking facilities. Emergency medical
services are easily accessed at Lindsay's Ross Memorial
Hospital.
Our staff provides compassionate, supportive
and professional care and services Our Behaviour Management
Specialist offers leadership and support to staff and
families concerning the individualized care of residents
with Alzheimer's disease or dementia.
Our commitment to education provides
our staff with the knowledge to ensure each resident
receives care that respects their individuality and
preference.
Our modern, single-level home is designed
for residents' comfort. Bedrooms — private and
shared — are spacious, attractively decorated
and feature en-suite bathrooms. Corridors are wide and
accommodating. Residents and visitors can enjoy our
comfortable lounges or our cozy library, share a meal
at linen-dressed tables in our spacious dining room,
watch a video together in our sitting area or enjoy
a breath of fresh air under the awning on our patio.
Frost Manor enjoys strong community support.
Based on our belief that residents continue to be valued
citizens, we encourage them to take part in the life
of Lindsay and invite local townspeopfsle to become
involved in our home. Our outings include shopping excursions,
picnics, scenic boat trips along the Trent Canal, and
fall bus tours to Haliburton to enjoy the autumn colours.
Our favourite excursion is to the two local fall fairs
where our residents proudly enter their baking goods
and crafts. Our volunteers add much to the good times
we have playing shuffleboard, helping with our summer
barbecues, birthday parties, annual bazaars, our annual
strawberry tea and holiday dinners. Children, local
entertainers and clergy visit us regularly.
Our residents are valued members of home's
management team. Our Residents Council provides the
opportunity for residents and their family members to
participate in planning and evaluating the services
in our home and supports a strong line of communication
between residents and administration.

Editorial: OMNI makes long-term
care ‘home’
What makes a home? For some, home is defined by its
size, stature, interior-designed rooms and lavish belongings.
For others, home is somewhat of a modest, cozy accommodation.
