A Celebration of Home
Monday, July 2, 2007 -- West Lake Terrace Residents
We can live in open spaces
Or choose to live in crowded places.
We can live where eagles soar,
Or go to be where factories roar.
We can pray in any church,
Or sit on dock, our faith to search.
We eat like kings on a wild diet,
Of fiddlehead and honey, you should try it!
Maple syrup form trees so tall,
Our country is great and we are small.
We have friends of all colours and sizes.
Canada, our home, is full of surprises.
Brave men fought to keep us free.
There’s no place on earth we’d rather be.
Happy Canada Day!
