'I have my mom back'

I want to thank the OMNIway for the article written about my mom, Dorothy Dutrisac. It was well done. She felt happy to see her picture and hear the story.

I can't say enough to thank the staff of Springdale Country Manor. My mom and I have been very close and when we made the decision to move her to the nursing home we both grieved so much. I thought I would never get my mom's smile back.

As my sister, Joanne, said, having Peaches, her puppy, with her has made a major difference. The puppy has comforted her and made her feel not so alone. Peaches is her life and this has kept her memory going as well as keeping her very active.

She is smiling again and because of all the hard work and kind efforts of the staff I have my mom back. She smiles and hugs people and I don't worry about her so much becuse I know she is enjoying her days.
