grandchildren of its employees who
work at the rural nursing home. About 25 children
were in attendance along with their parents and
grandparents, says Kathy Barr, life enrichment
co-ordinator at Rosebridge.
“I think this will be one
of our seasonal events from now on,” says
Kathy.
“The staff are very eager
to participate. I think it shows it’s just
not all about work all the time. We support (staff
and their families). It adds to the Christmas
season and goodwill.”

out gifts to all the kids who were
there,” says Kathy. “They really enjoyed
that.”
Refreshments and cookies were served
and the residents watched the children with interest.
“They laughed and smiled at the little kids,”
says Kathy, noting the children ran around amongst
the seniors.
“It was nice for the
kids to meet the other staff members' children,”
Kathy says. “We saw lots of little friendships
brewing.”
