| Administrator
takes less for granted after Sharma event

After two days working with Robin Sharma and her
OMNI management colleagues in Kanata, Leslie Morrow
takes a lot less for granted these days.
While it has only been a few days since the OMNI-sponsored
retreat, she says it has been a "fantastic
feeling" to come together as a large family
with both Kentwood, Maplewood and OMNI.
"We all came back with a strong feeling
of family inside," explains Leslie, administrator
of Maplewood in Brighton and Kentwood Park in
Picton.
About 60 managers gathered Thursday and Friday
for the leadership sessions with the inspirational
speaker and author.
"It just feels like we have such a strong
team, having had that opportunity to get to know
one another better," she adds.
On a personal level, Leslie says she has started
to think about — and do — many things
differently. "I’ve been eating healthier,
I relax more when I have the chance and I’ve
had some great family time," she says.
"All the ordinary things I used to sometimes
take for granted, I appreciate very much now.
I appreciate the small things."
The administrator says she has even been getting
up 30 minutes earlier than usual, part of what
Robin Sharma calls "holy" time to have
for oneself. Leslie adds she has simply felt better
about herself than ever before. "It has been
such a positive experience."
