Letter:
Terrace staff treated mom
with dignity, compassion
May 27, 2004
I'm writing today to express my sincerest gratitude for
the excellent care my mother, Agnes Smith, received while
a resident of Garden Terrace.
Agnes moved to the Terrace in March of 2003 following
unsuccessful surgery to remove a benign brain tumour.
As a result, her physical and mental capacities were extremely
limited and she required a great deal of physical care.
As I live in very close proximity to the Garden Terrace,
I was fortunate enough to be able to see my mother daily.
As a result of my daily visits, I can attest first-hand
to the excellent care my mother received from all the
staff on the 2nd floor West. The dedication and patience
of the staff is highly commendable. They treated my mother,
and the other patients, with compassion, dignity and complete
composure at all times.
My family and I would like to especially thank the staff
that provided my mother with the benefits of their excellent
and professional care and understanding. I would like
to thank Shelley, Vimala, Hasna, Saada, Zahra, Fadum,
Renu, Louise, Marilyn and Beverly and especially Abebe.
I know there are a host of other individuals at the Garden
Terrace that make this level of care attainable. I'm sure
I didn't meet or get to know all the staff that attended
to my mother and her care, so please extend our thanks
to them.
Sincerely,
Maggie Lackey
