'You have the right people working with you'

We wanted to express our thanks for the excellent level of treatment afforded my father, Wilfred Elliott, during his time at Garden Terrace.

Throughout his stay up to and including his final days, the staff treated him with dignity and caring. While we do not know everyone's name that I had contact with, we were impressed by all.

Two members of your staff need special mention for their handling of my father, as well as their compassion shown to Doreen and myself through his final hours, those being Shelly and Bea. We truly hope that you will thank them again for us for all they all did as it was greatly appreciated in more ways than can be put into words.

Considering the staffing levels that the home operates with, it amazed us the number of times more than one staff member was with my father and we hope the new Provincial Liberal Party lives up to their promise of making healthcare a priority. You need more staff to handle the needs of thirty-two residents on each floor.

When we first visited Garden Terrace at the time of opening last year, we decided that this was the facility that we wanted my father to stay at. We made the right decision and will tell everyone with parents or loved ones requiring a nursing home of the level of excellent care given to my father. You definately have the right people working with you.
