Burnbrae Gardens staff celebrate Christmas at the Campbellford long-term care home.

Apple cider, hors d'oeuvres mark Burnbrae party

Burnbrae Gardens employees celebrated the season with hot apple cider, hot chocolate and hors d'oeuvres at the Campbellford long-term care home recently.

Staff members gathered for an employee Christmas party Dec. 17. Managers handed out gifts and cards to staff members, sharing words of appreciation about them individually, says April Anderson, life enrichment co-ordinator. Employees each received a present from OMNI home office, which was a hit, according to April.

In addition to refreshments, staff also took part in carolling, Christmas trivia and draws for chocolate and other goodies. Health care aide Debbie Villeneuve won a special gift for a salon in Peterborough.

"We had a great turn out," April says.
