Parade brings Burnbrae staff, family together
Burnbrae Manor staff got together to create a float for the Santa Claus parade recently and harnessed the team spirit of a number of grandchildren that day, according to Rosie Coppins, office manager of the Cambellford long-term care home.

The grandchildren of Rosie, and Judy Danford, an environmental services aide, participated in the parade. Some older grandchildren walked alongside the float "waving to everyone," says Rosie, while the other younger children waved from the float.

Two staff members carried a Burnbrae sign – Cheryl Montgomery, a PSW and environmental and dietary aide, and Tara Archer, a registered nurse.

"It was a very good turnout," says Rosie.

About 40 floats took part in the community parade.

"The (staff) at Burnbrae worked hard getting a float together," says April Anderson, life enrichment co-ordinator for the home.

"It was a great success with lots of staff helping out and volunteering their time," April adds, noting many residents also watched the parade.
