Spiritual speaker, author will inspire managers, says Fraser

In the fall of 2002, Fraser Wilson sat in an audience of 7,000 in Toronto to listen to Robin Sharma speak. Life hasn’t been the same since for OMNI's CEO, which is something he would be glad to tell anyone, anytime. More than ever before, Fraser is motivated to live each day to its fullest and to appreciate each person in his family, work and entire life circle for their unique strengths and gifts.

For these reasons and more, Fraser is extremely pleased to be able to bring the inspiration of Robin Sharma to OMNI. Beginning this September, OMNI will embark on a relationship with Robin to ignite the passion behind its people and the spirit behind its care.

"This is the guy (who) matches our philosophy, no question," Fraser tells the OMNIway.

"My first hour with Robin changed my life. I would love our managers to experience the same thing, to take their work and their life to a whole new level," says Fraser.

Soon, they’ll have the chance. In September, OMNI will be sending about 60 of its 120 managers to Ottawa for an ‘Elite Performance Series’ with Robin. This is a two-day session of "eight rituals of visionary leadership," according to Fraser. Two months later, the other 60 managers will attend the same presentation.

This small, intimate experience should be truly awesome, says Fraser, and he hopes this level of contact with the inspirational speaker will spark managers.

After the leadership events, there will be six different three-hour sessions with Robin over an 18-month period for managers. The first hour, or the keynote address, will be open to the general public each time, says Fraser, and he hopes OMNI's frontline workers will take advantage of this period to experience the power of Robin’s presentations.

"My hope, too, is that when our managers go back to their homes and to their families they will be absolutely on fire with a passion for life," says Fraser.

On top of the regular presentations with Robin, Fraser has also arranged a monthly conference call with Robin for managers to keep the energy flowing. "He’ll give us something to think about each time," says Fraser.

As well, there will be weekly e-mails from Robin to offer further food for thought, Fraser says.
