New
friendships formed at Springdale Monday

Something wonderful
happened during the construction of the new, improved Springdale Country
Manor.
The crew from Beavermead Construction Ltd. that worked on the $1.8 million
renovation bonded with the residents.
OMNI's CEO, Fraser Wilson, talked at the official opening July 24 about
the special relationship that flowered between the workers and residents
during
the past nine months.
He singled out Beavermead president John Kraetzer and his crew during his
opening address for special thanks. “Your crew went beyond the call
of duty and got to know our residents.”
He gave a couple of examples, a worker taking one resident regularly out
for a smoke and another telling staff he’d move to another area to
work rather than bother a resident, explaining that the resident didn’t
seem quite herself that morning.
“The workers were wonderful with them,” said Phyllis McFaul, environmental
services manager.
While working on renovations among the residents, they kept a watchful eye out
for wanderers and spent time with residents whenever they could.
“They really did develop solid relationships,” says Phyllis.
